He has got a few million dollar from billionaire and Cleveland Cavaliers-owner Dan Gilbert to form a League of Legends team. Matthew Haag is in the e-sports world also known as Nadeshot. Until a few years ago, he was a talented professional Call of Duty player. Before he became a professional e-sports player, he worked at MacDonald’s. With different teams and in different functions in the teams, he has won a lot of Call of Duty tournaments. At the Game Awards in 2014 he won the title best e-sports player. He also has his own YouTube channel with over 2.9 million subscribers.
After he stopped playing as a professional e-sports player, he has created his own brand. In 2016 he created his own competitive gaming team, called 100 Thieves, and they began playing in the Call of Duty world league. He now has his own apparel line with hoodies, T-shirts, pullovers, hats and windbreakers.
The Dan Gilbert deal
Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers and a billionaire, invested a few million dollar in a new 100 thieves team. Matthew Haag will form this 100 Thieves team. This team will be joining the LCS 2018. Matthew Haag doesn’t join in the matches. Also, because he is less familiar with League of Legends than Call of Duty.
